The Kurz Group was awarded two gold, three silvers and one bronze award at this year's Foil and Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) Gold Leaf Awards. In addition to the Gold Leaf Award, the stamping foil manufacturer also received the “Best of Show” prize in the greeting card category for the Christmas card created by its US subsidiary Kurz Transfer Products, L.P. Kurz's second gold was earned in the category of best application of a holographic foil for the poster "The Beautiful." With the special award for print finishing at Printstars and the Silver at the Creativity International Awards, "The Beautiful" had already reaped its third award.
Kurz received a silver award in the calendar category for its 2013 wall calendar with the hot stamped Roman Coliseum as its central motif. The second silver came in the book jacket category for a cover of the packaging journal "Creativ Verpacken", created by Kurz member company hinderer + muehlich. The third silver was awarded in the self-promotion category for the poster "Emotions." The poster shows packaging samples that incorporate hot stamping foils for transmitting marketing messages. The company received the bronze prize for the creative use of folding carton in the current edition of its art box, "Presentation," a collection presenting diverse packaging samples in combination with a work of art. The company says it was thrilled not only about its own awards, but also about the numerous awards its customers won. Print products enhanced with hot stamping foil or cold foil from Kurz collected twenty prizes. Kurz cold foils participated in all winning projects in the label sector.

The FSEA supports its members in the marketing of print finishing with information, training, conferences and exhibits.
