July 30, 2013

He replaces Lance Shumaker, the longtime president of AVT's US subsidiary.

Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) Ltd has named Amir Dekel as president of the company’s US-based subsidiary. In his new position Dekel, who is based in AVT’s Atlanta, GA, offices, will manage all activities in North and Latin America including sales, marketing and customer support. He replaces long-serving President Lance Shumaker, who is leaving the company.

Dekel has been with AVT since 2001, and had been vice president of marketing prior to this promotion. He served in this role for four years, leading AVT’s worldwide exposure and awareness campaigns and developing a reputation for meeting and exceeding business goals.

Shlomo Amir, president & CEO of AVT, comments: "Amir Dekel is an outstanding manager, and successfully led the company marketing activities for the last four years. I am confident he will have a tremendous contribution in his new role. Lance Shumaker has done an outstanding job as president of AVT Inc. I thank Lance Shumaker for his dedicated service for the company over the past 15 years and his significant contribution to AVT's success and wish him at any time great success.”

“I am honored to be named President, and am grateful for the leadership Lance Shumaker has displayed throughout my tenure here at AVT,” says Dekel. “He set a high standard, and I look forward to building upon and expanding the company’s strong presence in North and Latin America as AVT continues to introduce new and enhanced product solutions for print inspection, process control, quality assurance and color control.”
