Dan Markovitz, the president of a consulting firm that utilizes Lean principles to improve individual and team performance by identifying and eliminating root-cause impediments to productivity, has been added to the speaker list at the 2015 Continuous Improvement Conference.
The Continuous Improvement Conference is slated for April 12–15, 2015, in Minneapolis, MN, USA. The conference is organized by Printing Industries of America, in partnership with Flexographic Technical Association and Specialty Graphic Imaging Association.
Markovitz is a faculty member at the Lean Enterprise Institute and teaches at Stanford Continuing Studies, which is part of Stanford University. He has consulted for organizations like Abbott Vascular, WL Gore & Associates, Intel, the City of Menlo Park, Clif Bar, CamelBak and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
At the conference, Markovitz will teach methods for applying Lean concepts such as 5S, flow and visual management to managerial work, increasing the time and attention spent on creating value. Attendees will learn how to blend organization and time management techniques with Lean thinking, seamlessly extending continuous improvement into the office.
Keynote speakers Paul Akers and John Banovetz will join Markovitz, along with business and quality leaders from Appvion, Artistic Finishes, Cal Poly, Fineline Printing Group, Flex Craft, Image Craft, Liturgical Publications, Paris Art Labels, Quad/Graphics, Western Graphics and Wikoff Color.
