CCL, a world leader in the development of label and specialty packaging solutions, is investing $30 million to expand its label division – CCL Label DES – in Clinton, SC, USA.
The $30 million investment is expected to create 98 new jobs over the next five years.
In addition to pressure-sensitive and extruded film materials, CCL Label provides extruded and laminated plastic tubes, folded instructional leaflets, precision printed and diecut metal components with LED displays and other complementary products and services to specific end-use markets.
CCL Industries employs approximately 10,400 people and operates 99 production facilities in 28 countries on five continents with corporate offices in Toronto, Canada, and Framingham, MA, USA. In 2013, CCL Industries acquired Avery Dennison’s Office & Consumer Products and Designed & Engineered Solutions businesses.
The Clinton site supports customers globally with component products and printing for the electronics, automotive, consumer battery and beverage markets. This Laurens County expansion will be the result of a 36,000-square foot addition to the company’s existing facility in Clinton. A majority of the construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
Hiring for the new positions will begin in late 2015, and new jobs will be posted at jobs.scworks.org.
