Weber Packaging Solutions has announced a line of Durable Digital film label materials designed to maximize long-term performance when used in conjunction with HP's pigmented Digital ElectroInks.
The product is intended to withstand possible hostile environments, such as exposures to chemicals, extreme temperatures or UV light. The label must also be recognized by UL as being a component of the durable good.
These products were made for applications such as industrial machinery, instrumentation, automotive, consumer electronics, electronic components, power tools and sporting goods. With digital printing, as few as 500 labels can be supplied.
Three product categories are offered: Digiflex BOPP, an economical material for printing decorative graphics; Digiweb Vinyl, a material for curved surfaces; and Digiplate PET, a strong material suitable for flat industrial surfaces.
Weber covers the materials with Digilam PET over a laminate film to achieve a durable life and UL 969 recognition.
