Esagraf, a Nilpeter representative in the Spanish region, held an Open House on March 23-27. The event focused on high-productivity narrow-web flexo printing and finishing of adhesive labels and films in a lean environment. More than 150 printers attended the five-day-event.
The live demonstrations showcased two of Nilpeter’s flagship presses: The FA-4* and the FB-3, as well as equipment by Prati, GM, Nikka and Flexowash.
”It has been an intense week with more than 150 visitors from 74 label companies coming into our house”, says Esagraf director Eduardo Sa. “The FA-4* and the FB-3 have run perfectly, and the demos impressed the customers, so we are nothing but satisfied.”
The demonstration of the sleeve-based FA-4* for producing high quality labels and flexible packaging featured a changeover from a 6- and 5-color job in less than three minutes, with less than 30 meters of waste.
The 5-color wine job featured two hot foils, which were printed by Nilpeter’s inline flatbed unit for value-adding hot foil and embossing, the FP-4.
The visitors witnessed a fast changeover and a speed test on the FB-3, which is one of the fastest in its class. The FB-3 went from 0-180 m/min. and stopped without any movement in register.
