Agfa Graphics has announced that it will host an Open House at its City of Industry, California, demonstration facility. The company will reveal how the its packaging technology and digital printing solutions can help businesses grow.
The event is taking place from May 6-7, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Open House attendees can learn more about the benefits and opportunities offered by the JETvarnish and iFOIL from MGI. These solutions produce raised 3-D and hot foil stamped effects, creating visually appealing and tactile pieces that allows printers to differentiate themselves.
The JETvarnish 3-D provides printers with true value-added services for 3D raised effects or traditional flat spot UV coating applied to short run packaging and prototyping. The iFOIL digital embossing and hot foil stamping solution eliminates the need for films, dies and makeready, allowing printers to produce jobs from one to thousands with high profitability and ease of use.
In 2014, Agfa Graphics was named national distributor in the United States for MGI Digital Graphic Technology products. MGI is a leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning digital presses and a complete line of versatile finishing solutions.
"Our Open House is for anyone looking to efficiently produce short run packaging and expand market growth," says Deborah Hutcheson, director of marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. "Attendees will get the chance to meet with Agfa Graphics' technology specialists and learn how to build their businesses with our digital printing options."
The Open House will also feature finishing demonstrations of the Esko Kongsberg XP24 cutting table, Esko prepress workflow and Artious CAD software. Additionally, Agfa Graphics' Jeti Titan HS and Anapurna M2500i systems will be showcased.
The Jeti Titan HS, a six-color UV inkjet indoor and outdoor wide-format printing system, features low ink consumption and reduced cost, and it comes standard with double white ink, with primer or varnish as options. The Anapurna M2500i, a hybrid printing system with inline white, provides high print production with dual board printing and has roll-to-roll capability.
