Kocher + Beck USA, LP has announced a new lead time structure as a result of significant investments and process improvements at its Solid Tooling facility in Suwanee, GA, USA, outside of Atlanta. According to the company, investments in equipment, tooling, and infrastructure have resulted in significant reductions to the diecutting supplier's delivery times.
Jim Ward, vice president of operations at the Georgia plant, says, "We have made a concerted effort to improve our entire process, from order entry to shipping the product out of our door. We have invested in new machinery, proprietary scheduling software and we have refined the entire process by incorporating many Lean Manufacturing principles."
Adds David Morris, president of Kocher + Beck, USA, "The changes in Atlanta are very exciting. Our team has worked hard and our customers are already experiencing the benefits of this effort."
