DG press sold its third Thallo press during its recent three-day Open House, which took place June 16-18 in the Netherlands. A customer signed a letter of intent for the web offset printing press, which will be shown at next year's Drupa exhibition in Düsseldorf.
Around 50 to 100 people each day visited the DG press Thallo launch event. Remko Koolbergen, co-owner of DG Press, says: "We knew about the huge interest in our Thallo printing press, but were positively surprised by all of the excitement after our demonstration show. All our customers are impressed with the performance and productivity of the Thallo press. The visitors were also very interested in all of the attending suppliers. We are proud to announce the sale of our third Thallo printing press and are allready calling this event a big success for our company."
Thallo demonstrations
During the event, a 7-color Thallo press was demonstrated printing both shrink sleeves and an in-mold label job. During the demonstration DG press showed a new feature, which is the ability to run the web backwards to allow material already in the press to be used for set-up of the next job. This new feature minimizes set-up waste.
In addition, a 5-color Thallo press, still under construction but sold to a customer in the Netherlands, was shown. DG press also presented its new sleeve change unit on a 2-color Thallo press. The "pro-arm" sleeve changer makes it easier to change a job without having to carry the sleeves.
