Xeikon has announced that Graph Expo 2015 will mark the North American tradeshow debut of Xeikon 9800, the company’s flagship document and commercial printing press.
Graph Expo, a comprehensive exhibition and conference for the graphic communications industry in the Americas, is taking place September 13-16, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, USA. Xeikon will be located in booth #849.
The Xeikon 9800, a Graph Expo 2015 Must See ’Ems Award winner, underlines the company’s heritage of innovation in digital print technology, as well as productivity, image quality and running costs. With a top speed of 308 letter-size impressions per minute and a web width of 20.2”, the press comes integrated with Xeikon’s X-800 digital front end. It can print on a wide range of untreated substrates from 40-gsm (27 lb. text) to 350-gsm (130 lb. cover).
In addition, its adapted Xeikon QA-CD toner and Xeikon’s high-quality imaging system deliver a print resolution of 1200x3600 dpi, with variable dot density for unmatched quality.
Xeikon will also display personalized direct marketing applications that highlight the format flexibility, color consistency, workflow prowess and customization/VDP capabilities. Xeikon has worked with Tecra, one of its software Aura Partners, to develop these applications.
The press will run inline with the Xeikon Web Varnishing Module at the show. This is a highly versatile unit that can apply UV or aqueous varnish on one side of a wide range of substrates. These substrates include coated papers and paperboard, as well as self-adhesive label and folding carton materials. Xeikon will partner with Alwan Color Expertise at the show to demonstrate its automated G7 tools for complete inline digital color management and verification.
Xeikon will also partner with Lake Image Systems at Graph Expo. Lake Image Systems will integrate Discovery MaxScan, its new compact scanning technology for document inspection, with the Xeikon 9800.
“Graph Expo attendees will get a sense of how our technology can have a powerful impact on any marketing campaign, with applications designed to cut through the clutter and get consumers engaged,” says Patrick Van Baelen, Xeikon’s VP of WW Marketing. “We will demonstrate the full arsenal of our solutions at the show. If a printing company is looking for ways to attain higher productivity and/or reduce production costs, they will not be disappointed when they come see us.”
