For its 2016 event, CPP EXPO is expanding its focus and audience to capture the collaboration necessary to ensure packaging materials’ production meets the needs of a marketplace under “digital disruption.” Taking place June 14‐16, 2016 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY, USA, CPP (Collaboration in Packaging Production) will focus on bringing together a meeting of the minds in packaging materials production.
Targeted to package printing/converting equipment manufacturers/suppliers, converters and package printers, as well as brand managers, package designers and their agencies, the event is designed to foster engagement and ensure business development on all fronts. Offering a comprehensive conference program featuring innovators in materials and production processes, as well as trends in design and delivery systems, the content is meant to demonstrate and promote early engagement amongst all involved in package creation.
One of the key elements of CPP EXPO NYC will be an opportunity for converters and package printers to showcase their own products and provide demonstrations.
“For 20 plus years, we have heard time and time again that converters–and equipment suppliers as well–want to reach CPGs/brand managers while in the design process,” says Jane McDermott who has been involved in converting/package printing for more than two decades. “We heard this at CMM in the 90’s, and now the time has finally come. With digital solutions providing unique messaging opportunities right on the packaging, it is critical to start the conversation as early as possible.”
Tracks designed for each stakeholder will be highlighted with information on the global branding and packaging marketplace, as well as business development strategies.
“Emerald Packaging was the first flexible packaging converter in the United States to adopt digital printing in late 2014. Digital has opened the door to new markets and the opportunity to work more closely with brand managers,” adds Todd Somers, director of sales and marketing for Emerald. “As with any new technology, there is much to consider before diving in, and the forum created by CPP EXPO will certainly help the industry.”
