Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) Bristol recently received a Digital Printer Award for a self-adhesive label printed with Domino’s N610i 7-color UV digital inkjet label press. The packaging solutions and self-adhesive label supplier won this accolade in the “Creative Use of Substrates” category six months after the installation of the Domino press.
The award-winning label was a self-adhesive beer label for Redwell, a craft brewer based in Norwich, Norfolk. Designed specifically for the brewery’s Redwell Steam Lager brand, the label needed to convey a premium appearance while also appealing to a younger audience.
“We are delighted that MPS has won this award within just six months of taking delivery of the Domino N610i,” says Stephen Hancock, UK sales manager, Digital Color, at Domino Digital Printing Solutions. “Printing this label on a silver substrate enabled MPS to achieve the premium effect that their client required. Digital print is ideal for hand crafted beers that are only produced in small batches.”
“Winning such a prestigious print award in such a short time after introducing this technology to the site is a credit to our employees,” adds Andy Walter, marketing director at MPS Bristol. “The award reflects the progress we’ve made, and we’re confident we have a lot more to offer.”
