Polyonics, a leader in high temperature and harsh environment barcode label materials, has added new polyimide colors to its flame retardant product line; semi-gloss and matte yellow and blue plus semi-gloss green, violet and pink. The new halogen free, thermal transfer printable materials are used in a wide range of flame retardant electronics tracking applications to help prevent the propagation of fire.
The company features material with FlameGard technology, which combines chemical and physical mechanisms that help control heat, oxygen and flammable gases. Together with high temperature top coats, for excellent ink reception and flame retardant PSAs, Polyonics provides durable label materials for the harshest applications while preventing the propagation of fire.
Polyonics flame retardant barcode label materials are UL94 VTM0 recognized and tested to the DOT FMVSS 302, FAR 25.853 and BSS 7238/7239 flammability, smoke and toxicity standards. The materials are used in a wide variety of electronics applications including: PCBs, batteries, power supplies, auto under-the-hood and interiors, and wire wraps.
