After acquiring an Omet Varyflex in 2013, Zircon and its head Sanjeev Sondhi have installed and commissioned yet another Omet printing press at the company's Dehradun Plant. It is tZircon's third Omet press in as many years.
The installed press is a 10-color Omet X4 370mm width with two screen printing stations, one hot foil, cold foil, embossing and two diecutting stations. It has an advanced fully automatic register control system that registers in both machine and cross direction, reducing operator dependence to register the press. The machine has the capability to run at speeds upto 200 m/m, guaranteeing a faster ROI to Zircon Technologies.
Zircon employs 275 people and operates out of a shop floor area measuring 100,000 square feet. Another 50,000 square additional shop floor area is under construction. In the last nine years, Zircon has invested in an average of more than one press each year.
Omet's presses have the ability to print and fold tissue paper products, self-adhesive labels, IML, shrink sleeves, aluminum foils, wraparound labels, security products, folding cartons and flexible packaging. According to Zircon, Omet has distinguished itself in the market. Since the press manufacturer's inception, it has installed 1,500 machines globally. “Mr. Sanjeev has been a very precision demanding customer and can only be satisfied by new technologies available today," explains Paolo Grasso, sales manager at Omet. "We appreciate his trust in Omet presses. By investing in the third Omet press in less than 3 years, Sanjeev shows the same trust in Omet which we are now seeing with the global leaders of the printing industry. We at Omet thank him and his team for his trust in us.”
The sale of this equipment has been handled by New Delhi based Weldon Celloplast Limited, exclusive agents of Omet in India and surrounding countries. Harveer Sahni, managing director of Weldon states, "Zircon Technologies is a very prestigious customer for us. This recent expansion with the third press is proof of our quality and service being delivered to him, and we look forward to more such installations with him."
