Over the past 30 years, Nottingham-based Sprite Labels has built a reputation for quality and service as a trade-only supplier of labels and tags. When one of Sprite's customers ran into problems regarding issues of quality and service for a big order for plain labels recently, the company turned to Sprite's Tony Katsouris for help. Bar Graphic Machinery aided Sprite in this endeavor.
"This was a serious customer of ours who was in real danger of losing important work and needed urgent support,” he says. “We could do the job but it would put enormous pressure on our finishing, as we were already near to capacity. There was no time to lose so I made several phone calls, including one to Daniel Carr at Bar Graphic Machinery. Right away, I was impressed with Daniel's down-to-earth, no nonsense approach, his confidence in his company's equipment and his obvious desire to help. His price was competitive and, what's more, he was able to supply references from several label companies we knew of and respected.
“I immediately felt I could trust Daniel, and so when he offered to build and deliver a new machine in an incredibly short time, I believed him.”
BGM pulled out all the stops to supply its Elite 370 easy load diecut and perforation station slitter rewinder. There were no issues with installation or setup and performance and quality have been 100%.
"My call to Bar Graphic's was one of the luckiest calls I ever made,” says Katsouris. "We were able to rescue our customer and have been so impressed with the machine that we ordered a second machine three weeks to the day of the first machine installation. BGM has been absolutely brilliant throughout. I am really, really pleased".
The BGM Elite 370 is a fast, cost-effective, compact and robust free-standing label diecutting machine. It offers rotary diecutting speeds of up to 250m/m, running efficiently on a simple 13 amp 230V plug.
"BGM's mission is long-term partnership with successful label printers, to help them become even more successful through better converting and rewinding, better reliability, less down-time and through cost savings achieved by minimizing waste and saving energy,” explains Bar Graphic Machinery managing director Annemarie Rhodes. “Plus, we're always happy to modify machines to suit customers' specific requirements. We're delighted that Sprite Labels has joined the BGM family and look forward to collaborating with Tony Katsouris and his team for many years to come."
