CS Labels has announced the appointment of Mike Reynolds as its sales manager. Reynolds has over 25 years’ experience in the labeling industry, including particular expertise in the beverage market.
Reynolds was formerly sales director at SA Labels (now part of the Reflex group). He will manage a proportion of the internal sales staff, as well as a portfolio of key accounts in the major retail and FMCG space. The post has been created to also support Andrew Mansfield, (CS Labels technical sales director) as the company continues to rapidly expand.
“I’m really pleased to be here and am very excited about the benefits that digital print can bring," says Reynolds. "I’m from a flexographic background originally, so it is refreshing to come into a forward thinking organization that has its finger on the pulse when it comes to digital. A standout moment for me was learning how we are able to turn around orders in lightning speed compared to the flexo space. Our pre-flight system is truly unbelievable. I visited a client on a Monday, they have placed the order on the Tuesday, and they then receive it 5-8 days later. In the past the engagement could have taken years, and the delivery weeks, not days. Overall, I am amazed at how much there is to learn about digital. It’s completely different to flexo and I am delighted to be part of the team.”
MD Simon Smith says, “I am delighted to welcome Mike onboard, and (we) recruited him due to his experience with industry and prior knowledge with the major retailers and brands. We are and we will continue to expand, innovate and deliver to the best of our ability. In order to do this successfully, we need more like-minded best-of-breed team members.”
CS Labels continues to grow and has done so up to 20% year-on-year. In September 2017, Smith invested in a new CX500 Xeikon beta press, a wider web digital print press that will increase the company's capacity and offer larger sized applications in the complete digital solutions space. The press is Industry 4.0 ready and the CX500 is 50% more productive than the existing CX3’s that CS Labels operate.
