To celebrate the installation of its new Edale press, Amberley Labels held a ribbon cutting ceremony with special guest Chris Strong, who is the former owner and founder of Amberley Labels. He purchased the land at Shaftesbury Lane, Blandford and had the factory built more than 30 years ago. At Amberley Labels, there are new opportunities and technology for the whole company.
To celebrate, the company held an afternoon marker with champagne and nibbles.
Managing director Trevor Smith chose to purchase the new 8-color Edale FL3, which features AiiR print automation and delivers improved registration accuracy, reduced waste and setup times, reduced tooling cost and operator intervention leading to a more consistent, higher quality final product for its customers.
Smith says, “Edale offers the best combination of suitable technology, a knowledgeable team and synergy with our requirements. We plan to produce multi-color labels on specialist materials, such as multi-layer material labels. Using Edale technology, we are able to replace two of our existing presses with one."
Amberley's customers include blue-chip companies from a wide range of sectors such as the cosmetics, personal care, healthcare, beverage and specialist food markets. The brands include names such as Coca-Cola, Neals Yard Remedies, Farrow & Ball and Fortnum & Mason.
The company's purpose-built manufacturing site houses the complete service package under one roof with sales, reprographics, prepress, production, finishing, training, quality assurance and technical support all situated in Blandford, Dorset. There are over 30 years of knowledge and experience at its site, and with £6 million in sales, it continues to grow.
Amberley offers a wide product portfolio using both digital and flexo technology to deliver high performance, high-quality labels and packaging. Other methods of manufacture include hot foil, letterpress and more.
