Electronic Imaging Materials has announced that Jillian Bishop has joined the management team as marketing and engagement manager. The personal development and promotion of employees has been at the forefront of the company’s values since it was founded in 1987.
Bishop began her career at Electronic Imaging Materials as a digital print specialist over a decade ago. Her previous position, running machines at a photo print shop, gave her a helpful background in machine work. The most challenging part for her, as with most new EIM employees, was learning the complex world of labeling.
When a graphic design position became available, Bishop saw an opportunity to utilize her graphics background. As she stepped into her new role, her talents were quickly utilized creating graphics for catalog advertisements and designing early versions of the website. Throughout the years, as Bishop continued to grow her skillset, her role and responsibilities grew as well. Her day-to-day duties progressed into supervising video and graphic interns, and more recently, spearheading the formation of a workplace engagement committee.
Her willingness to step up and drive the company forward didn’t go unnoticed. After spending more than a decade learning the ins-and-outs of the industry and EIM’s marketing department, Bishop felt prepared to step into a management role. “I look forward to being able to contribute a marketing perspective to decisions regarding company direction. Additionally, with employee engagement as one of my key focuses, I look forward to helping EIM’s work environment to continue to improve," Bishop says.
Alex Henkel, company president, adds, “Jillian embodies our company values. For the last 11 years she has been at the heart of our company - first directly making our products, then explaining their value to prospective customers, and now adding the responsibility to lead and build employee engagement."
