An Applications Seminar on Web Handling is slated to take place October 1-3, 2018, in Stillwater, OK, USA. This is a professional development program of the Web Handling Research Center at Oklahoma State University.
The event is designed for technical managers, engineers and technologists seeking understanding of the fundamentals of web handling. Participants will gain an understanding of the methods used in the running and handling of continuous strips of flexible material through process machines. They will see live demonstrations of winding, wrinkling, tracking, guiding, transport, spreading and splicing.
Major Topics to be presented:
J.K. Good, a professor, School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at OSU and director of the Web Handling Center, has also been included in the speaking lineup. He is an internationally prominent researcher in winding mechanics & web wrinkling.
Finally, P. Pagilla, a professor, department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, and adjunct professor, School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at OSU, and a member of the staff of the Web Handling Research Center, will round out the presenters. He is an internationally prominent researcher in lateral dynamics and control, and longitudinal dynamics and control.
