Enercon has released the new CoronaFlex Pro, a narrow web corona treater that is paired with the Compak Pro Power Supply to improve ink adhesion while offering artificial intelligence for advanced support and communications.
The CoronaFlex Pro has been designed for high-speed flexographic presses and versatile digital printing applications. This system offers OEMs and printers powerful and reliable corona treatment through a compact footprint, and an intuitive operator interface that provides users with enhanced operating control, detailed system data, maintenance reminders and support options.
Todd Krupa, Enercon’s narrow web sales manager, says, “Enercon is committed to innovating the way narrow web printers think about corona treaters. The CoronaFlex Pro offers ease of use while providing operators with tools and support to ensure they are optimizing quality.”
The CoronaFlex Pro’s remote touchscreen interface guides operators through basic settings and advanced options, including watt density control, proportional speed control, system operation fault diagnostics, blower motor starter, electrode retraction and more.
New support features include on-board troubleshooting tips, custom maintenance reminders and explicit real-time fault monitoring. In addition to logging and time stamping any faults, its integrated artificial intelligence automatically recognizes when a fault takes place and captures a detailed snapshot of operating data. A USB port allows users to download this data and share with Enercon service engineers for quick resolution of any issues. Users can also use the USB to capture maintenance and event logs, as well as update software in the field.
The CoronaFlex Pro has been engineered to meet the diverse needs of narrow web printers by offering flexible integration options on all OEM presses, the ability to improve wettability on a wide range of substrates with a large scalable treatment window, and treat both conductive and nonconductive films without the need for an electrode or cartridge change.
