Rotometal, which produces bespoke magnetic and print cylinders for flexo printing machines, has launched its new Antifriction printing cylinders.
The product has been designed to optimize the friction properties and smoothness of the cylinder coating. This is thanks to the use of the Polimeroxid matrix, which is cross-linked throughout its thickness with a special LF4 polymer.
The use of this method in the production of printing tools allows Rotometal to obtain enhanced surface smoothness while maintaining a high hardness.
Rotometal has engineered the products to combine high durability and optimal adhesion, the company says. Thanks to the new coating, the replacement of the foam tape securing the polymer plates is trouble-free and takes much less time, as well. The goal is to provide converters with greater efficiency and productivity at the plant level.
