Label Congress has provided the platform for Cartes to bring its new Jet D-Screen to the US market. The Jet D-Screen unit for digital embellishment allows printers to easily create multi-layer effects, such as spot coating, complex tactile raise volumes and braille printing, as well as very detailed foil and metallic doming transferring.
“Our R&D department has developed its own innovative technology for depositing a thicker layer of ink previously impossible to achieve with inkjet printing technologies,” says Enrica Lodi, sales and marketing manager at Cartes. “The Jet D-Screen unit for digital embellishment allows you to personalize and beautify labels in just one step, with no tooling costs, with immediate startup and without any waste of materials.”
Cartes is also highlighting its well-known Laser converting technology, available in single or double head versions, and powered with 350 W laser Semi-Sealed sourcing technology. This provides converters with an unlimited lifetime, as well as a constant power and cutting quality. Along with Laser, Cartes offers several products that have been engineered to automate processes, like the Automatic Barcode Reader, the turret rewinder and the auto-slitting system that complete a “perfect match” with digital press concepts.
“It’s more than a great pleasure for us to return to industry events,” says Lodi. “We’ve always enjoyed investing time and resources to prepare for these shows in the best way possible, because we consider them a huge opportunity to present our technologies to customers from all over the world. The main thing we missed is the human contact established between people during the shows. Being able to present your products in person is, without any doubt, the most effective way to make people understand what you do and what your mission is.”
Cartes prides itself on the continuous search of new solutions, first to match customer expectations by improving conventional working with innovative products based on the best available technology. “We have been the pioneers in laser technology application on substrates for labels and for more than 22 years, and we have been offering a reliable solution for the converting of different products through laser processing,” adds Lodi. “We have always followed the market changes and adapted our former systems to the new requirements, such as process automation, new materials, linerless, as well as multi-layer products and more.”
During the event, Cartes also announced that new products will be launching in the near future. “Cartes’ main policy has been – and always will be – to keep looking for solutions to make our customers have more options to improve their business. Our only prospect is to follow this path, and that is why we invite you to stay sticky-on our news, as good surprises are coming soon.”
