The Fedrigoni Group, a supplier of high value-added specialty papers for packaging, publishing, and graphics, as well as premium labels and self-adhesive materials, has announced the acquisition of Divipa, a Spanish company headquartered in Derio, a few kilometers from Bilbao, which develops, manufactures and distributes self-adhesive materials, with an estimated turnover of 24 million euro in 2021 and about 50 employees.
“With the acquisition of Divipa, which joins the two self-adhesives production units we already have in Spain, we continue our expansion in the increasingly promising sector of self-adhesive materials," comments Fulvio Capussotti, executive vice president of the Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives division. "This operation will allow us to increase production capacity and create numerous synergies in production and procurement."
Meanwhile, Minneapolis-based AWT Labels & Packaging (AWT), a provider of specialty labels and packaging for the healthcare, food and beverage, personal care, and industrial durable end markets, has announced the acquisition of Labeltronix.
Labeltronix represents the second acquisition by AWT in recent months, following the January acquisition of MacArthur Corporation, a manufacturer of custom engineered industrial and durable label solutions with headquarters in Grand Blanc, MI, and operations in Michigan, Poland, and China.
“We are elated with the addition of Labeltronix to the AWT family,” says Bruce Hanson, CEO of AWT. “Labeltronix has built an incredible reputation of providing award winning labels that help brands stand out in the crowd. Their commitment to quality and a first-class customer experience aligns well with our core values, and their innovative, best-in-class manufacturing facility will become AWT’s flagship site on the West Coast.”
