Sustainability-focused packaging and label reprographics specialist, Northants-based Creation, has taken delivery of a Dantex AQF900 platemaking system to complement its low-carbon practices. The move sees the company being supplied with Dantex Rapidoflex and Torelief plates, which only use water-wash technology.
Dantex provides environmentally friendly, solvent-free solutions for a variety of applications. Rapidoflex offers an easy to use, quick and clean process, while Torelief, the company’s letterpress and dry offset printing plate, provides a high-quality print result combined with an extremely fast washout.
Matt Francklow, managing director at Creation, says, “The installation of the Dantex AQF900 is an important component in our Net Zero sustainability target. Water-wash plate technology is crucial in complementing brands’ and retailers’ sustainability goals. It is important that the whole print process is looked at as a means to support a more sustainable printing supply chain.
“And with the packaging sector being under immense pressure to deliver volume and speed, the processor’s large format means less waste, more efficiency and an increased speed to market, which are vital in creating a competitive edge," he continues.
.
“Following the installation of the processor, Dantex now supplies us with both RapidoFlex and Torelief plates. I like the way that Dantex are open to looking at new ways of doing things, rather than seeing this as purely a b2b transaction. We look forward to our continued relationship with Dantex and the success and benefits their products bring our business and production team,” he concludes.
The Dantex Group is a large distributor in Europe of letterpress and flexo plates, and has been serving the packaging industry for over 50 years. The company specializes in the supply of water wash photopolymer plates, processing equipment and high-quality performance UV inkjet digital presses.
