After a banner showing at Labelexpo Americas 2022, LemuGroup is showcasing three new machines for label roll manufacturing and digital embellishment: LI 220 RFID, MA 350+GTU and GTU 440 with a boxing system. Visitors have the opportunity to see customized demonstrations of LemuGroup's equipment running live at the show.
“How to produce the same or more products with fewer people is the pinnacle issue that I find people are researching and trying to solve economically in today’s industry,” explains Andre Beaudoin, director of North American sales and marketing, LemuGroup USA. “We are also finding that by incorporating higher speeds and tying in end-of-line automation, there has been a reduction in waste, which is always created when human interplay is involved. An example of this is when product has been converted, that product then needs to be moved to a second rewinding process and then finally packaging. With high-speed converting/inline packaging, we have eliminated waste factor. At these speeds, people cannot keep up with the packaging and palletizing part of their throughput. With our new technology, daily productivity increases 40% on average.”
The GTU-440 with boxing system is a high productivity non-stop machine, with a rewinding speed up to 250 m/m. It is a machine that can produce label rolls and package, and it's a fully automatic machine from start to finish. Its integrated inspection system guarantees the quality of all rolls that are packed and boxed, the company adds.
The LI 220 offers two operational alternatives in a single module. It enables the production of multi-layer labels and also allows NFC/RFID chip inserts, between the liner and the label, without hindering the visual design of the label. It has an impeccable precision, due to its Delam-Relam technology.
Finally, the MA 350+ is connected to a GBS turret. According to LemuGroup, this machine is a truly competitive combination for the production of premium digital finishes labels, perfect for the wine, cosmetics or pharmaceutical markets.
“LemuGroup equipment allows the converter to do much more with far less,” adds Beaudoin. “We spare our clients of the day-to-day HR business of trying to hire and retain employees, providing the employees who are there the ability to get back to label production – and doing it better than they had ever done it before. Simply put, more production equates to higher revenue and increased profitability. We are not just automating individual and multiple press lines. We are, in fact, automating entire production facilities. The industry has led us here, and the solution is available today.”
