During the Gallus Innovation Days 2018, which takes place in St. Gallen, Switzerland, June 26-28, print experts from Gallus will present how digitization will change its label business and how the company is going to support its customers to manage what it refers to as a "drastic industrial paradigm shift."
Highlighting the event will be the premier of a new digital label printing system called Gallus Smartfire. The digital press' ease of use is being touted as one of its key attributes. Also, this label press is designed for constantly changing short runs and is positioned as an affordable solution for any label printer that is interested in going into digital label printing for the first time.
In addition to the introduction of the Gallus Smartfire, Gallus will also reveal new approaches and solutions positioned for "Industry 4.0."
Gallus Screeny – Industry 4.0 now also in rotary screen printing
Rotary screen printing in Industry 4.0 will be demonstrated at this year's Gallus Innovation Days by showing how the Screeny A-Line screen plate is read by a scanner and then used together with the live data from the press. During the printing demo, the live data of the screen printing process will be shown online. In addition, the complete manufacturing process of a Screeny A-Line printing plate will be shown by using the automatic wash-out system from Gallus and the new Phoenix UV-LED direct platesetter from Heidelberg.
Introducing Gallus Labelmaster Advanced
Hot on the heels of the successful debut of the Gallus Labelmaster during Labelexpo 2017 in Brussels, the new machine – Gallus Labelmaster Advanced – will be presented to the public in St.Gallen with automatic transverse and longitudinal register control, which further underscores the ease of use of this press. And easy process change from the flexographic printing unit to the screen printing unit will be demonstrated as well.
According to Gallus, with just a few simple steps, the two printing units can be exchanged using a sliding carriage and then be reconnected to the machine base. Equipped with one screen printing unit and eight flexographic printing units, the Labelmaster Advanced presented in the Print Media Center Label at Gallus headquarters will impress Innovation Days attendees with its high speeds and register accuracy – without any manual readjustment after each job change.
Sponsor partners for the event are GEW (Gold), and (Silver) Apex and Baumuller.
