At company headquarters in St. Louis, Mark Andy unveiled its new Digital Series, while also showing visitors its role as a "total solutions provider."
Jeff Feltz, director of business development, explains the machine's hybrid system architecture.
The digital series features fully integrated in-line flexo printing modules including metallics, various converting options, cold foil and more.
Feltz explains the Esko-powered digital front end ProWORX, a ‘one box’ solution designed for superior and consistent control between the Mark Andy Digital Series and the digital file management workflows currently used by converters.
The Digital Series produces images with 600 x 600 dpi.
"There are no click charges," Feltz explains. "We have a pay-as-you-go model: Buy ink, use ink, buy more ink."
As a "total solutions provider," Mark Andy has partnered with DuPont to market the Cyrel platemaking system.
Also demonstrated was a Mark Andy P5 Performance Series flexo press, featuring repeatable settings and limited operator steps for job setup.
The Rotoflex VLI is an inspection, slitting and rewind system with expanded capabilities for more advanced applications and high-speed production.
