Flint Group Narrow Web will host an AWA sponsored seminar at its Center for Technical Excellence in Plymouth, MN, USA in late June. The workshop, titled Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies, is designed to provide an all-round essential briefing along with workshop activities presented by Flint Group and key industry suppliers.
Due to popular demand, two workshop sessions have been scheduled – each workshop is a full two day program. The workshops are complete with various presentations and hands-on activities hosted by Flint Group and Accraply.
Supported by industry participants Accraply Inc., Bonset America, Dunwoody College of Technology, Esko, Flint Group, and Polysack Flexible Packaging, the workshops will match theory with practical demonstrations, as well as a “cures and remedies” discussion between workshop participants and the experts. A key feature is the “on site” location of the workshops: at the Flint Group facility on day one, and the Accraply facility on day two – both of them located in Plymouth, MN. In response to market requests, the second workshop will be presented in simultaneous translation in Spanish.
Program leader William Llewellyn, vice president and senior consultant, AWA Alexander Watson Associates, says: “With the significant support and participation of leading international companies in this growing technology arena, we have been able to create a very special opportunity for anyone who needs or wants to gain a sound education in heat shrink sleeves.”
Deanna Whelan, global marketing manager for Flint Group, says, “Flint Group welcomes the opportunity to, again, open its facility to AWA and our co-supplier partners to increase awareness of this growing label application. Seminar attendees will see, first-hand, the printing of shrink labels using UV flexo LED technology – a revolutionary process supporting a growing market segment. We are excited to be a part of this growing market segment and thrilled to exhibit the future of narrow web printing.”
Registration is available at www.awa-bv.com, or by contacting the company’s head office at +31 (0) 20-676-2069.
