At Labelexpo Europe, Label Traxx will be introducing version 7.2, with several advanced features: Estimate and order magnetic tools with RotoMetrics, and enhanced ink pricing for HP WS6800 users. In addition, users can drag and drop files into Label Traxx to store them, as well as pass digital “lead-in” and “lead-out” specifications to Esko Automation Engine to automatically print at the beginning and end of a job. Also, with version 7.2 Label Traxx can monitor a folder on a customer’s network, and when a file is dropped into that folder, it will load automatically into Esko Automation Engine.
“This is an exciting release for Label Traxx,” states Label Traxx President Ken Meinhardt. “We have developed some great new features with our strategic partners RotoMetrics, HP Indigo and Esko, that build on our goal to streamline our mutual customers’ operations as far as possible.”
Streamlining is a key theme at Label Traxx and formed the basis of its “Homegrown” video campaign, which was launched earlier this year. Label printers who want to compete will need to invest in a platform that enables them to control and manage their data internally – and share that data to their customer’s supply chain on request, the company says.
Label Traxx MIS is a modular system that also includes the following features: Estimating for flexo, digital, letterpress and hot foil label presses; job status tracking and visual scheduling; data collection and profitability analysis tools; roll tracking system for raw material inventory; JDF connectivity to Esko Automation Engine; and electronic links to suppliers to automate purchasing and inventory management.
