Screen Americas has tested and approved a diverse array of pressure sensitive label materials manufactured by Spinnaker Coating, LLC for use in the Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press. The narrow web Truepress Jet L350UV prints bright, lively images on inkjet-qualified paper, films, polyester and metalized substrates, and print providers now have more options when it comes to which approved labelstock to choose.
Headquartered in Troy, OH, USA, Spinnaker Coating produces pressure sensitive paper and film products for the printing industry. Spinnaker products are the preferred labelstock for Screen Americas’ customer demonstrations of the Truepress Jet L350UV.
In all, 10 Spinnaker facestocks exhibited the measurable print performance, runnability and adhesion that would give Screen customers the image quality, fine text and high speeds they require. Among the approved facestocks are Semi Gloss Paper, 2.0 mil TC Clear BOPP, 2.3 mil TC White BOPP, 2.0 mil Bright Silver Metallized BOPP, Holographic Rainbow PET and others. The 10 facestocks translate to just over 60 constructions. All of the products are available as Trimless constructions with a 3" wide and 5,000 foot long single roll minimum.
“The Truepress Jet L350UV excels at being able to produce a wide range of labels on many substrates,” says Ken Ingram, vice president of sales and marketing at Screen Americas. “Compatibility of the paper with the production inkjet device is the key to ensuring that every job runs flawlessly. Spinnaker does an exceptional job of keeping up with digital printing technology, the printing process and the requirements of the label market.”
“As we continue to grow our digital portfolio, we are excited to build this partnership with Screen Americas,” adds Joel Ulrich, digital market manager. “We are committed to working with manufacturers like Screen to develop labelstock for newer digital print platforms. With higher performance digital presses becoming more widespread, it is critical for our customers’ success that Spinnaker’s portfolio offers the best results.”
