Inking & flushing system
Chicago, IL USA
The Graymills IF-NW (Ink, Flush - Narrow Web) system is based on the successful PPS peristaltic pump. It consists of a single control station housing a PLC with graphic interface from which the press operator can control all print stations at once, or individually, as needed. The peristaltic pump supplies ink to the printdeck. At the end of a run, the operator pushes a button on the touch screen to start the automatic flushing process. Then, the peristaltic pump reverses and draws the ink in the printdeck back to the ink container. The valves activate and switch to the flush container and the water circulates though the printdeck.
