Computer to plate technology in
pressure cutting flexible dies
Rio Rancho, NM USA
The move to produce PC flexible dies using computer-to-plate technology eliminates photographic film as an intermediate step in the process of producing PC dies. Currently, the new process is limited to dies up to 32" in width. This is the initial step in a phased program to eliminate on-press adjustments of PC dies. With computer to plate technology and improvements in the pin registration system used in mounting the dies on the magnetic cylinders, the make ready time will be significantly reduced.
