Bar code productivity boost
Whatever happens to RFID products, the demand for bar-coded labeling products keeps on growing. For example, Datamax International Ltd., owned by the Florida-based Datamax Corporation, has installed a seven-color Gallus EM 510 flexo press at its UK site. A print width of 20" combined with a TR 510 automatic turret rewind have boosted the firm’s production of these labels. Furthermore, finishing is all on-line, including fanfolding, sheeting and sprocket-hole facilities.
Datamax still sees large potential growth for all types of bar-coded labels among its existing customers, which includes leading food manufacturers, major supermarket chains and other blue-chip customers.
