Michael Hague Jr. wins 2002 Franklin Award
The 2002 Franklin Award has been presented to Michael C. Hague Jr., president of Water Ink Technologies, Lincolnton, NC. The award, presented by the Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology program of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) at the Harper Flexo Center in Charlotte, recognizes members of industry who have provided outstanding support for the program.
According to Jerry Howell, flexo program director, “Mike can be credited for opening the flexo faucet at CPCC.” In 1992 Hague and Howell worked together to arrange for the donation of CPCC’s first flexo press, a Mark Andy 820. Prior to the donation, flexo classes had been taught without hands-on press training.
Water Ink Technologies manufactures water based and UV flexo inks and coatings at its plants throughout the US and Canada, and has distributors in Mexico and South America.
