Premier Print award
Smyth Companies Inc. of St. Paul, MN, received an award for outstanding achievement in the category of rolled labels and wraps in the 2002 Premier Print Awards
Competing against more than 4,800 entries from printing and graphic arts firms worldwide, Smyth Companies received an Award of Recognition, an honor reserved for the top finalists in each category of competition.
Smyth’s winning submission was a pressure-sensitive roll-fed label produced for The Dial Corporation. The label, for Dial’s “Sea World” themed liquid soap dispenser bottle was printed on a clear film substrate at Smyth’s flexographic facility in Minneapolis. “We are proud of this accomplishment and pleased that our work with Dial has allowed us to be recognized in this fashion,” says Rick Lavigne, national account manager. “It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of a great many people throughout our organization.”
The Premier Print Awards is the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition, sponsored by the Printing Industry of America.
Smyth Companies is a producer of sheet and roll-fed labels as well as point-of-purchase displays and package-centered promotions. The company employs 550 people at six locations in Minnesota, Virginia and Colorado.
