FINAT and TLMI
to meet in Vienna
“New Developments for Value Creation Worldwide” will be the theme of the joint FINAT/TLMI World Congress, scheduled for June 4-7 in Vienna, the capital city of Austria. This marks the fourth occasion that the European and North American label converting groups have met together.
Highlighting the agenda will be a keynote speech by Penti Kallio, president of Raflatac Group. The European Pressure Sensitive Manufacturers Association will make its annual report on label stock, and FINAT will report on the results of its benchmarking study.
Other events include a panel discussion about “What Is New in the Value Chain,” featuring BASF, Avery Dennison, Raflatac and label converting group Skanem. “End Users” will be the focus of the final session, featuring Corey Reardon, principal of AWA Alexander Watson Associates, who will address functional labeling, specialty labeling, and labels in variable information printing applications, among other topics.
Winners of awards in the annual FINAT International Label Competition will receive their prizes at a ceremony at the end of the congress.
