Prairie State grows, moves to new plant
Prairie State Graphics, a label and flexible packaging converter, is moving in late May to larger quarters in Franklin Park, IL, and has acquired new converting equipment.
“We have experienced strong growth in our label division, Prairie State Graphics, as well as our flexible packaging division, Prairie State Impressions,” says Dan Doherty, vice president of operations. “We needed to increase our capacity to continue to supply the level of service our customers have come to expect. In addition to capacity needs we wanted to open up new markets.
“After extensive market and sales projection analysis, we felt it necessary to bring in a new 10" eight-color Mark Andy press. We also need to make room for the first 26" nine-color PCMC Evolution press, designed specifically for short to long run flexible packaging.”
The company also is adding a new slitter rewinder, and is updating its QA and R&D lab.
The new address will be 11100 Addison Ave., Franklin Park IL 60131.
