BASF adds laser plate equipment to showroom
BASF Printing Systems recently installed a laser in its Charlotte, NC, technical center showroom. The laser eliminates the need for film processing and produces print quality said to be higher than conventional imaging.
The new equipment features the HelioFlex F2000 XL laser, which is designed for computer-to-plate digital laser exposure of specially coated photopolymer plates and sleeves. BASF is using the equipment for customer support and in-house training programs.
