Ohio’s lieutenant governor, Jennette Bradley, visited Plastic Suppliers in Columbus, OH, recently for a formal presentation of the state’s SHARP (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program) award. The company received the award in 2001 and 2002. Three other Ohio businesses also won.
Ohio’s OSHA SHARP is a recognition program that provides incentives for Ohio employers to work with their employees to develop and implement effective injury and illness prevention programs. The goal is to reduce injuries and illnesses and to provide a means for showing other employers that occupational safety and health can work.
Plastic Suppliers manufactures plastic film and sheets. By receiving the award for the third time, the company’s Polyflex T building in Columbus is exempt from programmed OSHA inspections for two years.
