Tekra Corp. receives
ISO 9001 certification
Tekra Corporation has announced that its New Berlin, WI, plant for coating and converting engineered plastic films earned its ISO 9001:2000 certification. The company’s headquarters also is in New Berlin.
Tekra’s manufacturing and research facility has been ISO certified since 1994. “Implementing the new standard has been a positive force for us,” said Mike Drehobl, VP of corporate quality at Tekra. “These changes have already begun to pay off in terms of error avoidance as well as improving and enhancing our business processes.”
Drehobl went on to note that the transition has greatly extended Tekra’s ability to identify areas for potential improvement and interaction between business functions.
Tekra Corporation supplies plastic films and adhesives. The company creates and places on plastic substrates a variety of proprietary protective hardcoats and print receptive coatings. Tekra also is a distributor to the North American medical diagnostics market for DuPont Teijin Films, the North American sales agent for Bayer Polymers’ polycarbonate, and an authorized converter for 3M adhesives.
