Kugler-Womako moves into
labeling machinery
Kugler-Womako of Nürtingen in south Germany has acquired the Combina labeling machine business from Schäfer-etiketten, its near neighbor. The latter now concentrates on its core business of printing and converting self-adhesive labels, leaflet labels, security and packaging materials. The Combina machines are now included in the new owner’s product line-up, although both companies will cooperate to provide customer support, from the planning and application of labeling systems to supplying spare parts for Combina machines.
Kugler-Womako is a 40 year old supplier of paper converting machines, including reel-to-sheet or sheetfed wet-glue label finishing systems. It is part of the Körber PaperLink group of international paper and converting machinery, with marketing, sales and service offices in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
