Campus in NC is dedicated to Harpers
Tony Zeiss, president of Central Piedmont Community College, presided over the dedication of the “Harper Campus” for Ron and Katherine Harper in September. More than 300 people attended the ceremony, which renamed the Southwest Campus in recognition of the Harper’s contributions to the college and to flexographic education, in cooperation with the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association.
The campus houses the Harper National Flexographic Center and is also host to the annual International Phoenix Challenge High School Flexo Skills Competition, in which high school students from the US and Canada participate annually. The center operates two Mark Andy 830 flexo presses and two Comco Cadets for hands-on study and training in flexographic technology.
The Harpers are the founders of Harper Corporation of America, manufacturers of anilox rolls.
