Raflatac expands with new US terminal
Raflatac, a leading supplier of paper based and film pressure sensitive label stocks, has opened a new slitting and distribution center in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The terminal, which began operations in January 2005, will strengthen and expedite the company’s delivery capabilities to customers in New England, the Mid-Atlantic region and parts of Canada.
“Our customers depend on us to deliver a wide range of pressure sensitive label stocks in an accelerated timeframe,” says Jouko Lähepelto, senior vice president. “Our new facility will strengthen our production capabilities, while enhancing the consistency of our market-leading supply chain.”
The opening of the terminal adds capacity to Raflatac’s North American network. The company’s manufacturing center is in Fletcher, NC; it operates a terminal in California, and offers slitting and distribution from Wisconsin, Toronto and Mexico City.
Raflatac, part of UPM Kymmene, has its global headquarters in Finland.
