GRE and VIPColor
hold joint open house
An international audience attended the third combined “Open House and Resellers” meeting sponsored by GRE Digital Solutions and VIPColor Technologies, held recently at GRE’s headquarters in Steinebrunne, Switzerland. The event focused on digital printing technology for low volume and JIT turnaround for prime labels.
The VP2020 and VP8020 from VIPColor were demonstrated printing multi-color labels for boxes with variable information to illustrate and better identify the package contents at point of sale. The GRE Digital Converter, utilizing VIPColor technology, was demonstrated producing high quality wine labels with gold foil blocking. A dedicated small run label applicator was then shown applying labels on wine bottles following the print-and-apply concept to enable vintners to produce small volume, customized brands.
Attendees were introduced to the C680 Labeljet color inkjet printer, powered by HP technology and targeted to the short run, low cost market.
