A new RFIDentity family of PS materials engineered for RFID smart labels has been introduced. This includes transRFID, a transfer adhesive, RFIDfend, which incorporates a special face stock designed to reduce mechanical trauma to the RFID inlay and the incidence of non-functioning RFID labels, and RFIDna, a face stock and adhesive combination for the security and anti-counterfeiting of RFID labels and tags. TransRFID reduces air pockets and wrinkles in the release liner and RFIDfend helps overcome microchip-inlay failures associated with mechanical damage and electrostatic discharge.
