Aquaflex pushes into Ireland and the UK
Aquaflex, the North American narrow web press brand, is now represented in the UK and Ireland. LPP Limited, of Manchester, England, has been appointed to represent all aquaflex products in the island region by F.L. Smithe Machine Co., of Duncansville, PA, USA.
The principals of LPP, Les Bradley and Fred Osborne, have spent more than 20 years in narrow web printing equipment sales and service.
Aquaflex, formerly manufactured in Canada, had been owned by an investment company prior to its acquisition in 2004 by F.L. Smithe. Production of presses had ceased for a period while the former owner was searching for a buyer. Smithe, a century old manufacturer of envelope making equipment, acquired the assets and moved production to Pennsylvania.
