Jetrion to open new, larger inkjet facility
Jetrion LLC, the industrial inkjet products and services subsidiary of Flint Ink Corporation, has announced that it will begin moving its operations in early 2006 to a facility with more than three times the space of its current building.
Located in Ypsilanti, MI, USA, the new facility will provide Jetrion with 35,000 square feet of floor area. Much of the new space will be used to accommodate a major expansion of Jetrion’s inkjet ink manufacturing capacity. All of the company’s other operations, including hardware, integration, R&D, sales, and administration will also eventually be located in the facility, moving in stages throughout 2006.
The building’s interior structure is currently being customized to Jetrion’s architectural specifications, to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements, and to meet the requirements of its ISO 9001:2000 certification. The new facility will also include a fully equipped customer demo center for ink and hardware products in Jetrion’s primary inkjet markets: mailing, labeling, wide format, packaging, and specialty.
Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2005. Ink manufacturing will be the first operation moved into the building. Jetrion also holds an option for another 35,000 square feet in the same building for future expansion.
