Max Daetwyler has added the Heavy Duty Roll Microscope to its product line. The microscope views cells on ceramic or chrome rollers. The company says it is an economical way to view microscopically engraved cells on rollers since conventional methods are expensive. Max Daetwyler says the primary functions of the microscope include measuring roller depth, clearly evaluating scored or damaged rollers and plugged cells, inspecting newly cleaned rollers, photographing score lines or damaged cells, and viewing printing plates and printed substrates.
