GEW strengthens Italian and Swiss UV force
GEW, a UK based manufacturer of UV curing systems, has announced the appointment of Punto Luce Srl and Celi S.a.s. to support its growing activities in the Italian and Swiss printing markets.
Punto Luce manufactures equipment for the production of photopolymer printing plates and has been established in the graphic arts industry for more than 20 years. Sales Manager Daniele Olive will be responsible for the sales of GEW UV curing systems through the company’s network of agents in Italy. GEW also announced that it will establish a new company in early 2007 that will deal exclusively with UV curing products from systems to spare parts.
Celi S.a.s has been in existence for more than 30 years, and in the past 10 has specialized in providing technical service to the graphic arts industry, plus after-sales support through Carlo Garancini. Celi will provide installation and support for GEW UV systems supplied throughout both Italy and Switzerland.
Matik to distribute Gietz equipment in N. America
Gietz AG, of Gossau, Switzerland, has appointed Matik North America its exclusive distributor in North America for its line of sheet and web foil stamping machines. Matik North America, headquartered in West Hartford, CT, USA, is a provider of sales and service for European-made printing, converting and finishing machinery for the commercial printing, folding carton and packaging industries.
“The cooperation between Gietz and Matik reflects the great importance of the North American market for the world renown Gietz equipment and the support offered through American based parts and service availability,” says Frank La Croix, Matik’s VP.
