Held for the first time at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, outside of Chicago, CMM International drew a crowd of converters and packaging professionals estimated by the show producer at nearly 7,000. The four-day event featured exhibits by more than 300 companies. This year’s CMM was produced by its new owner, PennWell.
For the 2007 event, CMM featured a converting technology center dedicated to narrow and midweb products. Two narrow web presses were in the special area, one from J&H Printing Solutions and the other from Propheteer. The other participants in the tech center were Martin Automatic, BST Pro Mark, DMS, and Alden & Ott Printing Ink.
“Conference attendees praised the educational offerings and appreciated the opportunity to blend classroom learning with the live production environments found in the two Technology Centers on the show floor,” says Keith Hevenor, the conference director. “From web
